Our Mission

Philosophy of Education

Ä¢¹½´«Ã½â€™s (Ä¢¹½´«Ã½) distinctive educational philosophy balances tradition and innovation to provide your child with a premium learning experience. Our educational approach is rooted in the principles of constructivist theory and experiential learning, emphasizing active, student-centered engagement and learning by doing. By integrating hands-on experiences with opportunities in a myriad of settings for reflection, we empower learners to construct meaningful knowledge, connect theory to practice, and apply their understanding in real-world contexts. This dynamic approach fosters critical thinking, creativity, and lifelong learning. Educators at Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ place students at the center of every educational experience. Our committed teachers, the dynamic and applicable project-based learning (PBL) curriculum, small classes, authentic assessments, and real-world seminars reach and teach students in more meaningful and relevant ways than traditional educational environments.

At Ä¢¹½´«Ã½, Experiential Education (ExEd), learning by doing, happens daily and is scaffolded across divisions. Utilizing a growth mindset and reflecting on their learning, students develop lifelong skills and will socially impact their school, local, and global communities. ExEd at Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ encompasses many facets of learning throughout the year. Learning by doing could involve some or all of the following:

  • Activity-based Learning uses hands-on experiments and activities. Students often collaborate to achieve stated objectives.
  • Problem-based Learning challenges students to actively engage in real-world problems and, ultimately, develop critical-thinking skills and enhance their creativity.
  • Project-based Learning includes a variety of curricula and encourages students to develop essential skills such as communication, research and inquiry, and time management.
  • Place-based Learning uses a location or environment as a starting point to teach concepts and ideas across the curriculum. Students learn to make choices that impact the future, cultures, and the environmental landscape.
  • Service Learning extends beyond community service. It builds character, encourages life-long civic responsibility, and provides students with new skills and understandings of the world around them.
  • Outdoor Education enables students to learn camp skills, outdoor first aid, teamwork, and leave-no-trace principles, along with challenging them to adapt to new and unfamiliar situations within natural environments.
