Kudos to our Kodiak runners and 15 visiting Middle School teams for participating in the 13th annual Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ Kodiak Classic! Two hundred and thirty racers from across the Pikes Peak region competed at Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ on October 2, 2024.
The 1.5-mile course winds through our 28-acre campus, featuring sections of grass, loose gravel, and rough terrain, as well as a bridge crossing over a creek. A highlight for many runners is the hay bales placed as jumping barriers.
The top finishers in both races were from Monument Academy Middle School: Addison M. finished the girls' race in 8 minutes and 45 seconds out of 140 runners, while George P. completed the boys' race in 8 minutes and 18 seconds out of 90 runners.
We're proud of our female Kodiaks for their efforts: Cameron J. '30 (12:25), Vaishnavi E. '30 (13:09), Paige H. '31 (13:27), Emma M. '31 (13:32), Jennah M. '31 (13:36), Emma S. '31 (13:45), Ellie Z. '31 (14:43), and Anastasia S. '31 (16:53). We also commend our male Kodiaks: Isaiah O. '30 (11:33) and Ben G. '31 (14:32). Way to go, Kodiaks!
